Not a problem so far on my 2003 Elantra. Is the car locking and the alarm arming when you push the remote lock button?

The doors lock with no problem but, the lights won't flash.

Open the door to see if it is armed.

Re: elantra parking lights
Check all your door and hood switches. Does the dome lamp stay on or go
out? If it comes on and goes out as each door is opened or closed, the
door switches are probably operating correctly. To check the hood switch,
lock the car with the remote with the door window open. Reach in through
the window and unlatch the hood. Open the hood and press down the hood
switch. Did the lights flash? If so, the hood switch is out of
adjustment.
This is not a complete check of the hood nor door switches. A complete
check will require an ohmmeter.
