Who will win ?

Depends on the nature of the contest....

Number of units produced?
Production cost?
MPG?
Rear seat legroom?
Cost?
Warranty?
Number of airbags?
Cost to repair?
Number of doors?
Ease of parking?
Top Speed?
Ground clearance?
Average life expectancy?
Cargo capacity?
Weight?
Firepower?

I'm willing to bet in a fair head to head pros vs. cons of each, I'd bet on
Hyundai.

What about front and side crash tests? I think the Abrams has a slight edge!
Plus you never have to rotate the tires!

Oh, but the track maintenance... Also, the milage sucks in the M1.

Plus side... You can park damn well where ever you please, even on top of
someone else's car.

I'll take my Tibby, it's more in my price range (what would the liability
insurance on an Abrams be anyways? 3-4 million?).

Comprehensive/liability insurance on an M1 would be very, very high.
Even higher if you have any shells for the main gun :-)

FWIW, I saw somewhere online (link lost; my history expires after 10
days) that (mean number of claims)*(mean cost of claim) for a Tiburon is
202 (average for all cars in the "2-door small" class is 100). The only
car that gets a higher number is the Acura NSX. This is one reason why
you pay so much to insure a Tiburon. (I guess the numbers are so high
because it's a relatively cheap car, so there are a lot of high-school
kids driving Tibs. Sigh.)

They were much more in demand in Europe... You could not buy one there until
recently, and hence, we suffered a rash of thefts. Not so much now, but the
damage has been done.

Further, there are ALOT more kids driving suped up Civics then Tibs (both
sides of the border), and yet a Civic is alot cheaper on insurance.

I would be more interested in seeing the number of speeding tickets issued
against Tibs, or actual vehicle accidents...

Oh sure, but they charge you extra at the carwash!
And and when you show up on "prom night" it just dosn't make the same
impression as a limo.

I don't know...these days showing up in a tank might get you more points than a limo.

The Hyundai MBTs are not made by the car company.
Hyundai Heavy Industries makes them.
