Limping Santa Fe
Anybody had this happen with their Santa Fe? The engine light came on and we
took the car to the dealer. They ran the diagnostics and said eeverything
looked ok and reset the light. I drove out of their parking lot and the
light came back on. The service manager said to drive the car until I could
find time to leave it again. So I drove it for about 1 week when the car
began to misbehave. While driving it would buck. The revs would go up to
3000 and stay there. After several minutes of this behavior the car would
drive normally. Back to the dealer. Now they find a faulty sensor and tell
me the car was in its "Limp mode". Now the car runs normal so I guess things
are fixed. I did notice one thing while having this problem. The gas milage
actually improved. ??????

Re: Limping Santa Fe
There are outstanding issues with the O2 sensor and the clutch sensor. I
had both go out at the same time. Symptoms just like yours. You should
have received a notice from Hyundai for both. Then again, your dealer
should have known too...

Re: Limping Santa Fe
I agree that the dealer should have known. Anyway, all is fixed.
