Question about Ford FD23B harness in '07Sonata?
Got a problem figuring out how to get the Ford FD23B wiring harness to work with an '07Sonata car harness. From reading on this and other forums, it looks like the Ford FD23B harness by Scosche would work. It has ALMOST the correct pins and wires that the female connector in the car has with two exceptions. Pin 19 is missing and Pin 24 is missing. (i.e. there are pins and wires in the car connector for these pins but not on the FD23B.)
I can fix pin 19 pretty easily because it is a smaller pin and there are some spare pins/wires on the FD23B that aren't used in the Sonata. But the missing Pin 24 on the FD23B isn't going to be easy to fix because it is a larger pin--the same size as the chassis ground and "always-on" pins. I guess I could order another FD23B and salvage the large pin from it to use for the missing Pin 24. Or I could just connect from my new head unit with a crimp connector to the car's Pin 24 wire.
I wondered if anyone else has come across this problem?
