Re: Elantra GT self locks
Thank all of you for you responses. My dealer made me aware of the 30
second relocking feature but was not aware of a situation like mine. It is
possible that I have unknowingly activated the remote in my pocket. The
strange thing is that when it shows up locked it is in the morning when I
first go to the car. Almost like the car is trying to protect itself. Of
course, this is no big deal but I was curious if it was systematic or just
happening to me.

This happened to a 1999 Sonata GLS I once owned...and it did not have
remote keyless entry, locking my ex's only key in the ignition with
her outside the car.
