We had a '99 Sonata with everything which was sold at $23 or $24 grand or
whatever--I'll never know

I am not making the following up: The dealer (apparently & illegally) literally
tore-off the window sticker, apparently so I wouldn't findout how badly they
had ripped us off

I did not want it; while my wife did the "deal," the predatory & slimey sales
manager (apparently) laughed at me on the phone (while actually telling me I
was a male chauvanist ...blah blah)

Anyhow, that leather-seated 6 whoopie cylinders semi-luxury vehicle was
thereafter being driven on I-85 during an ice storm, as we were returning from
the airport, and we think today (in the midst of another nasty ice/snowy
storm), that if it had not been for that optional package with traction, then
I'd be too dead to post this little reflection of a thing past (plagarism
apology to the french novelist)

And the moral of this anecdote is:

I can say, "oink, oink," with backhanded thanks to those unscrupulous sales
