Would you have to replace the chain portion? I'd assume it would
have a much longer service life then the belt.

i'd reckon that too. but i'm not going to take the risk when my Accent
(which uses the same setup) is due.
Hyundai's use interference motors and i don't want the mega$$ repair
bill for neglected maintenance.
