is it true...?
One of my relatives came back from Korea and told me an interesting thing. He told me that some of the cars that were made during demonstrations can have defects. He said something about cars were not inspected carefully and may not have been accurately built.
Could this be true. I doubt it. How could demonstrations cause inaccurate manufacturing?
What do you think?

Re: is it true...?
myths, truths, half-truths. pure lies
don't buy a detroit car made on a monday or friday
a pissed worker once welded in a beer can or sumthin in order to make a
permanent racket
you advisedly just wouldn't drive a foreign car to work if you worked in a
domestic auto factory
the tennessee nissans, for instance, get their most complex parts --trans,
electronics, whatevers--from japan, because they don't think americans can
manufacture 'em as good
cars from the planned hyundai factory in greenville alabama hopefully won't
hurt hyundai's remarkable quality/lower price, and so, why worry

Re: is it true...?
Well, there are differences between American
demonstrations and Korean demonstrations.
In America, you rarely see BIG demonstrations(strikes).
In Korea, you might see alot more BIG demonstrations (strikes) than America.
You may have seen the strike that Calif.'s truck drivers
held about 4 to 6 months ago. Well, Korea is far worse
than that when it comes to demonstration or strikes.
Though, I heard that number of demo. or strikes have
gone down, but still.
And how do you know what DAY the car was manufactured?
I heard that Ford Mustangs' horsepowers are varied by
the day that they are manufactured. One of my friend bought
one and his MUST. has more HP than normal MUST.'s HP.

You might be a bit too harsh there. He's quoting a person, and exposing
politely.
BTW, when I was in Korea and I first saw the police facing a
demonstration, I thought the war had started. Incredibly violent, but
INMHO the quality of cars should not be affected. Either a factory is on
strike or is not, and they have so much automation nowadays that it
shouldn't matter. Furthermore, 95% of the demonstrators seemed to be
student.
