Warranty Help???? A.S.A.P.
Dear helpful people,
I have heard that because Hyundai knowingly under rated and advertised the
horsepower for the 2.0 liter engines to be at 140 hp when in fact they are
closer to 123 hp. Hyundai is extending the warranty period for an extra
year or 20,000km. If any body can tell me how to get this agreement please
email me at:

You should have received a notice by mail -- but you can call the
Hyundai warranty phone number (800-633-5151) and give them your VIN to
see if you qualify.
If I remember correctly, only the original owners are eligible, and the
benefit given varies by model and year. I also think I remember that the
major warranty aspects weren't extended -- I think we had a choice of an
additional year of roadside service or some such.
Good luck,
Harry

I've received a letter from Hyundai about that extended warranty. You could choose one from three warranties. I think you could call Consumer Affairs in California and ask for it. Only thing that matters is the purchase date of your car. The number is posted in www.hyundaiusa.com, and just click on owners? or something.
