Friend of mine just traded his 04 Mach with a Vortech in on a 03 Cobra. He stopped by and we went for a cruise.

Went out on the highway to see how his car would do. I was impressed. He claims its all stock but I know that low 12's are only a pulley swap away in those cars. Anyway, he was behind about 3 car lengths and tried a ricer flyby. I wasn't totally ready but I saw him comin. He caught me and I was catchin him. We finally let off around 120 or so. Passed a couple vehicles then did another 60 mph run. This time I was ready- he jumped on the throttle first but I got him this time. I was a car length by the time we got to 100.

I am sure he is ordering parts for his car as we speak since we have always been back and forth on who's faster. I know my car has a lot more potential since the fuel situation needs remedy and I could feel it fallin off pretty bad in the upper RPM's.

But either way- considering its a conservative tune right now and I knocked off a Cobra that just might not be as 'stock' as he says, I would say thats not to shabby...

Congrats, that's the real performance test. Not a dyno but comparing it to other real cars that you know are fast.

The cobra can't be stock, b/c if you are really putting down those kind of numbers, thats about 100hp more than the cobras come with stock. You guys will be close when you get the 500whp, if he has exhaust, pulley, cold air and a programer. those mods on a 30-04 cobra are good fro about 500 at the wheels, but nice runs.
