99 SVT Contour vs. Mk3 V-Dub VR6

So first of all, most people probably haven't heard of a Ford SVT Contour lol. You can check it out in the new member section in the intro thread I made.

Anywho, I was out at the Wal-Mart Supercentre in Mississauga doing a little shopping. Took the 403 back and got off at Winston Churchill. It was/is raining and The V-Dub was ahead of me a little on the off-ramp so I caught up a little. I have some experience racing Go-karts (100 mph ones not the 2 mph amusement park ones) and I loved racing in the rain, so driving and taking corners in the rain doesn't faze me. Anyway, the light was red and we were both gonna turn left. I was revving my car a little because my alternator is starting to take a dump on me and I had the wipers and defroster/fogger going on. So maybe the guy took it as me wanting to race him lol. Then the light turned green, we both went and I wanted to keep up with him through the turn ( I was on the outside, he was on the inside). I did. I was in 2nd and noticed the guy started to nail it so I figured ehh why not. I nailed it, caught up to him and got by him. Started probably 2-3 lengths behind and by the end I was about 2-3 up on him. I started to slow down, so he caught up and started to speed up again so I went with him and pulled again (maybe a length or 2) but then there was a car ahead of me and I didn't want to swerve infront of the V-Dub or anything so I slowed down.

I caught up to him and had to turn left a little bit ahead. Got beside him and gave him a little salute to say nice job. Also flashed the hazards as a way of saying nice job and then we parted ways. Not sure if the dude driving the V-Dub is on here, but nice race dude! The end.

I heard the v-dub couldnt get traction cause he had mad vtec.

Besides, racing on Winston Churchill is like the gayest thing ever.
