a speeding ticket is issued to the driver, not the car. the driver must be stopped while driving to give them a speeding ticket.
do you remember photo radar? do know about the current red light cameras? they would mail a ticket to the vehicle owner. there were no points on the tickets, even if you were photo'd doing 150 over, because the driver was not identifiable.

if a cop sees a speeding car, and clocks him, gets his plate, but for some reason does not attempt a traffic stop, then there is no way for him to fine either the driver, or the vehicle. your opp friend was either lying to you, or you made it up.

and are you what is known as a "car guy"? why would you bash someones car? thats not nice at all...

doesnt bother me too much though, my car will stomp you in a straight line, and hand you your *** on the track as well. it also creates quite a stir while parked.

So I take it that your car is fast? That's really nice dude. I'm glad that it "creates" a stir for you. But you know what- at the end of the day it's still an economy Nissan, the bottom of the lineup four banger that was designed for economy, not performance. Your car can work circles around me at a track? Doubt that. Straight line, maybe. But I guarantee that I'd hand you your *** sideways and twisted on a track.

actually, it creates a "stir" for everyone else. i give out about 4 rides a week to complete strangers, and can't fill up a tank of gas without being questioned about it most of the time. most people that walk past it slow down to take a look peek inside, and tell whoever they are with (or me) that its an awesome car and they wish they had one... and it is still stock looking!
oh and by the way it isnt a sentra.
it used to be a sentra... and even that car would likely give you a beating around the track... because its more about the driver than the car, and i could certainly drive that car, and get alot out of it.

now please explain why, legally, you can be mailed a speeding ticket? here's a hint... you can't.

tru but if the cop got ya and wrote all ur info on the ticket and forgot to give u the ticket he can mail it,or drop it off (not sure on this one, but im pretty sure it's happened to someone)

you were still caught while driving. if he has your licence info etc.. then its quite obvious that he stopped a specific driver. he must then re-issue the ticket in person.

well, i was in newmarket, on young st and eagle. in my chevelle i just bought(19 at the time, now i;m 22). cleaned it up that day and decided to take her for a spin. it was a great night for a cruise. so i get to a stop light. i see a 69 GTO black small block 400 in it (says on the fender) come right up beside me. he looks over, revs his high. i have cutouts, so i open them. then rev a couple times. the light goes green, and i have never see two cars sound so sweet in my life lol the nose of my car goes up. his also! we are ripping it. i took him by 2 cars.

so he points to the the tims on the right side. so we pull in, and he asks "what do u have in there?" i open the hood. hi performance 350. making 300-350 hp. he opens his hood, a little 305 hi performance 325-375 hp. so after that we became friends. so we r ready to get in our cars. when a cop pulls up. drives by us slowly. i forgot to close the cutouts on start up and the cop stopped. i back out slow, and get back on young st. i see him turn his cherries on and boot it. so here we are, 2 muscle cars running from the law. does this look like a movie u have seem? (vanishing point with barry newman).

so we get on young, thank god for all the green lights. i'm running in 2nd, he sounds liek hes maxed out in 3rd. he takes a left. i take a right. thank god the cop to the left for the gto.
so the next day, i went to Canadian tire, for there car show on thursday. he (the gto ) was there. i asked him about what happened. and apparently he out ran the cop. i just got a laugh out of it and said "were r some lucky bastards u no that right?" he said "want to do it again tomorrow night" haha.

its almost liek a movie. and i was scared shitless!

I did a half assed attempt at running lol scared.
going down the highway doing like 130...(the usual) and the cop decides im getting pulled over for it tonight(****). I drop the hammer a bit and luckily theres an exit right near there so I get off... I go through it quick but not blazing, make a turn and head down the street and head into a local coffee joint( that was luckily there)...as I was turning into it I saw him coming off the highway with his lights on(keep in mind that this place was at least 2km from the off ramp)..damn he guessed the right way I went lolz... i pull in and he comes up 30 secs later...

gave me a ticket for 120 in 100...gave me a bunch of bs about me running(no officer i was just getting coffee....) and off I went.. lol.

I shouldve stayed on the highway.

early last year in my EF hatch w/ gs-R swap it was like 5:30am and im bringing my 2 buddie's home in Burlington & Sauga. i decided to take my buddy that lives in Burlington home first cause he lives close by the 407 and we were coming from my hood in Richmond Hill. Decide to take the 407 from Yonge St. and took my license plates off right before the on-ramp camera's..right after the camera's i put them back on with no front plate on cause i would have to take off the front plate again when i wanted to exit. So im cruising then from like the 400 all the way till the 2nd last exit before the 407 splits into 410 i think???? I think that exit is Erin Mills?? anyways from the 400 all the way there im maxing it out in 5th i dont even know my Speed cause EF Speedo's go up to 200 (musta been doing atleast 230 easeeeeee). there is a OPP SUV coming onto the 407 on those circle on-ramps (he came on at Erin Mills) so he is almost at the end of the on ramp and i FLYYYYYYY by him. He pulls into the centre of the highway and lights up the cherries.

So because i dont know the area we'll i ask my 2 buddies where i should go. My buddy says go right onto the 410 so i do that and the bridge from the 407 onto the 407 Said 70 km/h.. i did that going about 150'ish so im gunning it on the 410 and get off on the 1st exit which is Steeles..Here is where it gets ****ed..the off ramp os kinda like a swoop right then a swoop left...i'm coming off the highway doing about 180'ish and i cut the right perfect as im braking and coming at to the end of the off ramp which is the left swoop, my car's *** just keeps kicking out left and we are headed right for the grass on the shoulder. As we were almost to the grass Im trying to fight the shifter to get into Reverse, and it was giving me problems cause i was doing maybe 5-10 km/h and we were pretty much sideways now so finally after about 2 tries i forced it into Reverse and reverse it into the middle of the intersection and whip my wheel right and slam it back into first and burn the rubber right in the middle of the intersection (smoke coming out from everywhere). As i was peeling out the cop is about half way up the off ramp with his cherries off. i race down Steeles and then make a right at the next road (dont know the name) then i made a left at the road after that.. Which brought me to some factories..

We pull in behind a darkass factory..and we all get out, run to our corners and all of as go take a ****. my car stunk like rubber, hot as **** and was soo fun. stayed there about 20 minutes then left..

I was kinda thinking though cause i didnt get a chance to take off my rear plate before i exited the 407, so dont u think the cop would be smart enough to call up the 407 and say where and what time i exited and ask the 407 people for the plate number to come get me..NOO havent heard anything from them
