Its not Civics I hate so much as the people who drive them. I respect Vtec as much as I respect Mivec. Still, its all in good fun. I've always been a firm believer that with the right amount of money, any car can be fast. Let's keep it realistic though..
well i would assume you would respect vtec quite a bit more than a cheap knockoff like mivec
. hondas been running vtec for almost 2 decades now... although i believe BMW was the first company to come up with variable valve timing... just the japanese engineers were the ones to perfect it.
i guess the biggest misconception for some honda owners is that they dont understand what vtec is so they assume that it makes horsepower, which is false.
