Father vs. Son

Father vs. Son
Was heading back home on dundas after a game of soccer with friends around 8pm, when I saw a familiar dark red C5 corvette alone up ahead at a red light with no traffic around. I take the right lane and stop at the red light beside it, looking over only to see my old man with a huge smile on his face. He opens his window and shouts "I noticed your china car a mile away". A few seconds later he revs and his flowmasters make it sound like an absolute monster. I just gulp as I recently purchased the eclipse, it only has a stock mitsu evo3 motor swap (Before you ask Im waiting for the winter to strip it and turn it a power house). I also noticed him deactivating the traction control system. That made me more nervous . I lightly rev hoping awd will give me enough traction to keep with him on the launch.......how wrong I was. Light turned green, some wheel spin from the vette, and he was gone. Off the launch I was trailing by a small margin, but when his tires bit down, he was gone. He just kept pulling away as if I was going in slow motion. I got totally owned . He slowed down and when I came up beside him, he was laughing histarically. So was I. I gave him a thumbs up, and we cruised all the way home together.
But even though I got totally smoked. I still had a great big smile on my face, and so did my dad . I guess the point of this story is, no matter what your age is, cars can always bring people together. Me and my dad have always been close, and this will be one of those moments in my life I will never forget
