So I was driving down lisbon st, next thing I know... a car flew by me, I wasnt shure what it was... so when it slowed down, I caught up to it and saw a 5.7 on the back, and realized it was a new GTO... we were at a stop light just looking at each others cars... the light changed at both of us floored it! finally at about 100 I looked in my side mirror and saw him back there, so I let off and pulled into the first parking lot I could find... he followed me into the parking lot... we chatted for a little bit admiring each others cars... I have got to admit, those GTO's are NICE!!! his was that bright red color with the red accent interior and a 6 speed... He already had a Corsa exhaust and cold air induction... I think I even talked him into spraying it(For the record, I was not spraying when we raced, I dont even have my new nitrous setup on the car yet!) The GTO didnt do too bad, but he has a ways to go!!

congrats man! Trust me GTO's dont have "a ways to go". :P My brother has one and we raced and he beat me by 2 car lengths. Its running at about 350hp to the rear wheels.

I wasnt saying they are bad cars, in fact I said they are very nice and fast... I was referring to the fact that he had a ways to go to keep up with mine... Hopefully next year he will, he is looking at spraying the hell out of it!!!

And you really think an engine is the only thing that detemines how fast a car is? If you have equal drivers the GTO will lose to an F-Body every time.

but how? if an lt1 and gto race, thats 275 vs. 350ish, and f-bodys do weigh a lot

AN LS1 F-BODY! The reason I made the comparsion is because B4C has an LS1. Out of the three main LS1 cars (F-Body, GTO, and Y-Body) the GTO is the slowest and like I said the GTO will always lose in an race if the drivers are matched.
