The GTO's are nice, but stock for stock they are not designed to compete with a "sport's car" It is Pontiac's cross between a Grand Prix and a Trans Am... And for that, it is a great car...

Not true at all. The GTO has 360hp. Even a stock FULLY loaded 2002 SS doesnt even have that much HP. The GTO also has about 380lbs of torque. Trust me i have road in one and i have also done 162mph in one. I know how fast they are, and i know that the GTO can beat a lot more cars then you think. Its completely different from knowing how much HP they have in them, then actually driving in one and see how it throws you back in your seat while shifting gears.

Yeah the suspension is very heavy duty. The car was designed for the rough out back but since America's roads are so much better it can do without the heavy suspension. Honestly someone should come out with a light weight suspension swap for the GTO.
