Man whats up with these wars..... Enteraining none the less.... Mustang VS. Civic is just stupid because look at what the Civic was meant to be an econobox yes they can be fast, but the rust as bad as a freaking Tempo. 5.0L Mustangs are pretty common but they are always worth their weight in gold. You can buy one for say $1000 put $1000 in it and sell it for 4-5K, you just can't do that with a Civic unless the buyer is super stupid. But anything can be fast. Just my two cents. I know this cause I was a big J-body fans. Until I grew brains.

Its funny how so much ppl rag on Hondas and then get raped by one that was manufactured in 1989 while theyr driving a 40K plus ride. Fact: Honda has been rated as one of the most reliable vehicles in North America, which is part of the reason why Japanese vehicles are dominating the N.A. automotive industry... not to mention they don't flood the driveway with oil everyday (*almost every domestic). Also, even b-series Honda engines such as the
B16a, B16b or even the B18c installed in a civic are only 1.6L-1.8L and easily break 14s in a quarter while most 5L domestics barely break 16s stock and im not talking about shelbys or vipers b/c thats an unfair comparison. Finally, to those who hate majority of honda drivers, how many of you could fill up your ride with pump gas with about $35 (w/ current gas prices @ 91 octane fuel) and drive it as a daily and get 450-575Km to a tank while occasionally letting it go?

Um a 5L running 16's stock? Try 14's you douche. NONE of my donmestics have EVER leaked oil on my driveway, and I got an 82 Olds. Muybe said 5L is in a truck? Seriously, Civics may be reliable but they break like ever other vehicle on the road. Like I said anyting can be fast.

For the most part i was addressing ignorant comments made by stealthZ... so what was it that i said what you find to be incorrect? By the way, im speaking from my perspective (2000 Hatchback w/ b16a2), so the figures i provided regarding fuel consumption were actually 100% correct. With respect to track times, my car doesnt run 14's on the track it runs mid 15's (stock with a chipped ecu).
I have nothing against domestics b/c iv seen beautifully restored oldschool chargers and have been owned by various old school muscle cars... but to idiots that say hondas can't hold their value, thats the stupidest thing iv ever heard. Obviously, market value is market value regardless of how much money you dump into a car, however, civics are very good at holding value assuming they were modified cleanly and not over the top. And yes, its true that any car can be fast if it has enough money put in it, but honda's are the cheapest b/c parts and engines are easily accessible.
