So what are you going to do now? Race me with your Mistubishi which you've never turned a single bolt on? You can't beat me with a car powered by hopes and dreams... hahaha. Never turned a single bolt? What kind of crack are you on? I'll have you know I have done my fair share of work on cars and maybe some day we will meet when my POS isnt a POS and more like a EVO in wagon sheet metal and you wont see me coming but you will see me pulling away, booster seat in the back and baby on board sign in the window and guess what, I just handed you your ass! So long sucka!!! :wt: Moral of this story is never say you are better than someone unless you can back it up for sure. See you at the track junior. :lala: And as for nothing better in Canada, that's right peckerhead. Tuned Hondas aren't as powerful pound for pound as tuned DSM's are. Also there aren't as many DSM's out there because Mitsu has only started marketing their own brand recently after the Chrysler fiasco. I have seen these cars pound the out of 95% of the cars they go up against and that includes: vettes, vipers, skylines, Ferraris, and also once paced a Lamboghini up to about 150MPH. Can your little Civic do that? The it can. Get left for dead against those cars. As for weak trannies and such, show me a car that doesn't have a weak stock tranny and I will call you a liar to your face while I punch your balls off for insulting me with your ignorance. Every single car out there has a so called weak tranny so that doesn't wash. You can ask 2 tone how fast I can move out on the open highway, scare your homo ass for sure. :knock_tee |

DSM's are far from , it arguable has the best 4cylinder motor in the world. What other 4banger is proven to make 450whp on a stock bottom end time and time again? As for unreliablity and breaking down all the time....I've only had to call a tow truck once with my Laser. I did a 3rd-2nd downshift and snapped a driveshaft. Not because it was unreliable, but because I was doubling the factory power output. If you double the HP of any car, its going to break. But if the car is modded properly, you'll built it properly to take the extra power. I have a 4spider gear center diff in my AWD to take the abuse of the 6K launches. As for the tranny's being the weak link, most guys that break them just dump the clutch, which is the worst thing u can do. We'll see how well the talon I built holds up this season.....I'll be going Viper hunting this summer :drive: |

i thought that DSM's were (granted maybe a little unreliable) but good cars... I know a couple of guys with them that are pullin some wild HP i find it that most people call them boxes b/c the people that i have dealt with owning DSM's care less about looks then performance which isn't bad... now if a car looks like crap but kicks your ass in a race does that make it a POS??? Diff'rent strokes for Diff'rent folks!

I know my POS laser but a beating on a number of vettes, ws6's, stangs, and an assortment of rice dishes. Now that I have my new awd talon, with a completely different set-up, there won't be too much that'll be able to touch me on the street, without slicks at least. :cheeky4:

Mazda 323 GT-R (1.8L BPT) engine. And 400hp+ from the stock turbo is possible too. |
DSM guys are funny, every single argument all they do is refer to Shepards "dsm". What a bunch of dooshes. :bs:

I think you should give up your spot as the self-appointed DSM spokesperson on this site because you're not a very good example. You drive a stock 100hp station wagon. Just because you *think* you'll swap a 4G63 and AWD into it doesn't mean you can come here and start talking as big of a game as you are. Just shut up and open your mouth/keyboard when you've actually began your project... thanks. |

Until you can show me a 4G63 that makes that power for more then 10 seconds at a time, I'll continue to argue that the 4G63 ISN'T. Any engine can make stupid amounts of power if there is enough boost and nitrous fed into it, and enough development is done by AFTERMARKET companies. Ironic how you claim the 4G63 to be the best engine in the world, yet most second gen owners are driving a ticking time bomb. Last time I checked, the best engine in the world didn't self destruct from crank-walk. |
