ran an 87 vette
i ran my bro's friends vette 2day. we took em up to the bridge and lined em up. the vette was an auto so it got the jump on me cause trying to find a good launch rpm on my car is tricky. so 1st gear he jumped like 1-2 cars on me, 2nd he didn't gain any and once i threw her into third i made up the length he pulled off the start and completely passed him off, once i shifted to fourth i had like a car or so on him. i can never find a good launch point cause everyday my car reacts different, due to temp and whatnot. i was thinking about maybe a set of drag radials but i would really like to keep all the added stress off my driveshaft, tranny etc. what do u guys think

alright, my neighbors selling an lt1 and he's got zr1s on it. 275/40 17 in front and 315/35/17 drag radials in the back. we might swap wheels before he gets rid of it and i'd just give him the difference

the vette had a different cam, and pcm progamming (as well as exhaust)but there were many cars that beat teh vette in the 80's (the grand national killed them alot, and event eh fiero gave it a run)
