For the records I drive a GST Eclipse Spyder.

Driving home from a buddies tonight and happen to pull beside a 95-97 Civic Sedan with a CF hood, rims and a fart-can exhaust that sounded like a bumble-bee. Anyways, let's forget the fact that I hate civics period, but this guy was a complete joke. He was hoking at me to try and get my attention and race me to try and impress his girlfriend in the passenger seat. With all the attention the cops are giving modified cars now-a-days I didn't want to have much part in it but I figured "what the hell, it's the only way to shut the guy up" .

So we're cruising beside one another as there are other cars around us, and I made sure he heard my BOV just to think twice about it. Long story short, we drove till we found a red light...He pulled beside me, rolled down his window, and said "I'm a big Mitsu fan, but they are pieces of , let's go" I just looked at him and said "You do realize you're sitting in a civic, right" and he laughed.

Light turned green, his fartcan exhaust sounded like it was going to fall off as he revved it so high, and he stalled it at the light as I took off down the road. Wasn't even worth it to give him a second chance; I wonder what his GF said too..

In this case thats a pretty sad story for on his behalf and if i was you i would have stopped and told his gf to hop in the car with you at least you will make it home.

I love ur story man all import guys are like that the one thing that makes me laugh the most is that he stalled his car, civics are the easiest cars to drive stick on he was probably getting excited to race and then just was acting like a dick and stalled the car even if he didn't stall u would have killed his ass cuz Mitsubishi's are quick

Nothings wrong with a turbo fwd car. A bunch of people have upgraded to much bigger turbos that own GST's and rarely spin their tires off the line.

really my buddy has a talon esi-t and he couldnt launch it for the world and i know a guy with a srt-4 dont laugh with stg 2 from mopar and no way in hell could he get traction

everything is wrong from a dig, from a roll it can beat other drivetrains and the lighter front wheel drive car will have more potential than another front wheel drive car thats heavier. Even awd gsx's breaks traction off the line and you say gst's dont so you aint launching hard enough

cause people cant fuken drive and havent learned about throttle control. i can launch my car with a smal amount of wheel spin or really soft and make her stick. all about throttle control.

this reminds me of a civic we saw a little while back while at a meet, my buddy offered to park his truck on it, hes got a samurai with axle swap 36 inch tires and a bunch of lift and hes parked on abondoned cars before ,its always funny. aynways this was like an 88 civic and hes like hey can i park on your car, the guys like yo ugotta catch me first, so i offer to race him and hes like what do you drive as he hells infront of my car i point at it. guess he caught wind of the intercoler as he looked over cause he turned his head and drove off, lol. fun times

Like you said, I really dont want to deal with ricers riding my ass, especially with the whole street racing ordeal going on. That's why I kept the entire body stock, but with these retards as soon as they see the fmic or exhaust, they're gonna fart as much as they can.

Yeah my exterior is stock minus the rims.. I'm about the sleeper look too. I had the phase when I owned my ESI Talon to make it all show and I guess I just grew out of it.

He wouldn't have been able to see a fmic if I had one.. I was infront of him the entire time lol, but I made sure he heard the BOV and yet he still wanted a piece.

You'll have to put like 6000 into your stupid civic to even compete with a stock eclipse. I know some civic owner who did some complete b16 swap all done up and he hasn't even broken the 200hp mark.

i know of many hatch backs with stock h22 swaps that cost alot less then 6gs making 200hp and eating talons for breakfast

a stock 92 talon with a boost controller is MUCH faster LOL. Considering how many people have broken 11's with the stock turbo.

Honda's have gotta be the easiest car to make fast. Not saying I dont like em. Just think that ppl should learn, that when you put money into any car you can make it go fast, just that hondas are CHEAP, and VERY EASY to modify (switch parts between integra/civic/accord/prelude) than other cars. I mean that is old...

I dont think a civic is the cheapest thing to modify. I've always felt that cars turbo'd from the factory are easier to modify, just because the motors are already built. I dont hate civics, I just hate the retards that come with the territory.

yup very true, any factory boosted car is steps ahead of anything n/a. hell look at the srt4, guys are making 400+ whp on stock motors for a couple grand. take the dsm's, you add some fuel, up the boost, and open up the exhaust and your laughing.

and thats why this thread was entitled such. its all about the owners. some of which are in this thread. backing up honda like its your mom. "oh yeah, if i had a type-r, or, wait till i get a turbo" I've got friends who modify hondas, they're not douchebags, but an astounding majority of the honda population is, especially when you consider the % of douchebags in the honda community vs the % of douchebags in other communities. albeit i've got a camaro and we've definitely got our share of redneck dipshits.
