Yesterday I went to the drags. I didn’t time the car because the timers were down (El Paso sucks) anyways it was I would say a 99 SVT or newer I dont know much about stangs. anyways the guy was with his son he was using the liquid traction and deflating the tires and all that non sense. My friend who was with me was freaking out saying that “I didint know what I just got my self into”. I told him those who are scared to be defeated are sure to lose. anyways its finally mine turn, I did 2 burn outs before my start but the car was roaring, screaming like it was a demon let loose. The guy then puts that liquid traction on the car before his start. We get to the line and I’m holding the car at 3k RMPs then the amber, then the green then my launch. So I’m burning all the way in 1st then the traction catches and I shift at 5500 RPMs, the guy had a better launch since his tires were preperd and he had a lot of previous experience (age 35-45), but after I was done with 2nd gear all I needed to do is get into 3rd. Then it was time to shift but then its giving me trouble putting it in 3rd, its jammed :banghead: at this time my hood was to his front fender and the car was red lining in 2nd, so I just force it in to 3rd and when I did the car flew past the SVT and it came to a sudden end. My first race at the drags and I won. , Was a good rush and am going back on Friday but this time Im taking a camera to record the races. Just another camp fire story.
