just raced a brand new red carrera S, it had the famous huge porsche spoiler, realy slick looking think it had the GT3 package. we both went from 2nd gear and about 60kph, by end of 3rd gear had about 3-4 cars on him, almost the same result at the second run only it was 2nd gear at 80kph, driver was a really nice guy flashed him high beams and showed thumbs up as well. best race ive had in a long time

well i did, maybe 10mins before i posted it here. and btw, theres nothing special about the specs that youve posted.

and theres more than a few guys on this board that can tell you that my car is capable of beating a 350hp porsche

Way to go man, good kill. I've ran a carrera before, they're pretty slow actually. I flew by it like he hit the brakes. I could very easily see ice effect putting a few cars on the porsche, besides Ice Effect has my old turbo so I know he'd walk a non-turbo porsche.

for some reason people on this board actually believe that all the cars here are silly slow....its not like i just beat a zo6 or something, it was just a porshce and i thought it was a good kill so i posted it. and if "people" knew more about talons, they would have known that for a talon to get as fast a a carrera isnt a big deal, and that it doesnt require tons of mods to make over 300hp on an engine like the 4g63t.

no offence meant for the other guys here, i know there are some super fast cars here... but without any prior knowledge OR seeing your car, all we can go by is your story! and under all NORMAL assumption, can a stock talon truly outrun a 997 S in the straight?

in the above first post.. you never stated you did either... its purely assumptions... and no i didnt think it was stock either, but then again i have little knowledge of your particular car... so in the end... ill say it again, i assumed it was just bolt ons, im sure 79 camaro thought of the same thing before DSM monster came in to tell us your car is fast... then fine... i didnt say it was a bad kill or you are a terrible liar

no ... i can definetly see ice effect smoking a carrera (non turbo), hes got a pretty sweet talon. oh, and kevin, the fact that carreras seem slow to you doesnt surprise me with that beast you got.
