You vw guys are just as funny as the honda guys, first of all there is no 96 cobra they came out again 99. The last time i seen a vw run in the 12's was in the movies. I go to tmp all the time you guys are lucky to dip into the 14s. Give the car to your baby sister and go by a mans car. This was the bigest BS story yet

They made them and then stopped for a few years.

And I have seen several sub=12 plated VW's at cayuga. A purple golf comes to mind...

all motor VWs are nothing special, its when they get boosted they become alot more fun. dont forget the VR6 debut was in 93, and it was being tested back in 90 ish so its almost a 20 year old motor design, nothing in comparison to the K20s of today, different things for different ppl, if you wanna go fast for cheap, i dont think anyone would complain with a 5L stang.

I know of a blue golf that runs very fast 1/4 mile times..;
