i dont know a lot about NIC cards and stuff.. but my dad just bought one and we are going to network our two computers downstairs .. and i was wondering.. can i have wireless internet on my laptop in my room as well as the two computers downstairs?

how do i go about doing this? Like do i take it to Best Buy and they install something in my computer or something and how much am i looking at spending for this?

Well first off you need the wireless router hooked up to your POP so that it has the connection, y'know basic stuff..

As far as the lap top wireless, if you have a PCMCIA card slot on your laptop, you can easilly purchase a wireless PCMCIA card like I had listed here, and I'm pretty sure you can buy USB wireless cards too... just plug it in and install the drivers. Set up is minimal, just make sure that all the computers when you go to the network settings make sure you set them all up for the same work group so they're all visible.

The other computers, same concept, buy a wireless NIC, open the comp up and put it in (or you can do a USB wireless card, but make sure you disable the wired NIC card first just to ensure there's no conflicts)

Once it's all hooked up it should run fine... but wireless does cut out a little more.
