yes, definitely yes. the turdblow AWD ones are sick!

i've heard almost everyone say that they're high maintenance though. kinda obvious too.

they are starting to age and are turbo, which inherently is high maintenance ofcourse. if u really like it, just get one in decent condition. well, i would at least

Any car can be unreliable if you beat on it. Yes they are fast, probably one of the fastest cars you can get for the price. lots of power and good torque. If you get on it in the lower gears and manage to keep the tires from not spinning, the car will magically change lanes by itself, lots of torque steer 200ft/lbs through fwd can do weird things. As for ugly or not, everyone has their own opinion. I think the 2nd gen looks better though, but also cost a lot more. www.ca.dsm.org is the canadian dsm forum. As long as you get one that hasnt been abused, you'll like it.

I have the same car with a Plymouth badge on it instead of an Eagle badge. Turbo, but no mods on the car. Done over 210,000 KM (65,000 by me) and the engine and tranny are still running strong, many of these cars are still going with over 300,000.

Maintenance wise, in 3 years I replaced some dash lights, dealt with sticky power windows and replaced the hatch struts and one rear wheel bearing. All pretty minor stuff.

As for ugly or not, ignore what other people say, think for yourself. Oh, and yah, they are pretty fast.

I have a 91 Eagle Talon Turbo AWD 5spd, the thing does 12 seconds TONS of mods and I've had it for about a year, the only thing I had to fix was a wheel bearing, a cheap axle $160, and thats about it, The car is FAST I can drive in the snow up hills offroad and for the amount of I put it through it still sticks with me, and the axle and bearing went from the previous driver hitting a pot hole really fast LOL!

But every car I had before can never handle the abuse I put them through and this Talon is the only one so far. I've had NEW cars that didn't last as long. I maintain my car VERY well so thats not the issue I just drive them HARD.

I own a 1g awd, are you mechanical? Do you KNOW how cars operate? Can you band-aid your car back together when its 1/2 broken but you still need to get places? Here's a 3 yr list of what I can remember for mine:
-3-rear calipers
-just did 4 rotors/pads
-both frontwheel bearings
-new rad
-new waterpump
-Timing belt/b-shaft belt when replaced belts
-missed a shift and blew up the clutch
-just did d/s tie rod end
-did p/s tie rod couple yrs ago
-rad hoses,t-stat,eats rad caps
-now I have a fragged d/s balljoint ( LOW-PROFILE TIRES!!!)
-bearings and pulleys,02 sensor
-both windows pop out of their tracks
-3 alternators (use to charge batt and drive to work w/o one..LOL it'll last 50kms)
-I know theres more, I have all reciepts..find me a little daily driver low 13 sec car turbo 4cyl thats no harder on parts and I'll pat you on the back. My advice? Save up and get a new hemi car or LS1.
