2007 Victory Vegas...
...Help? I had my 2007 Vegas lowered at the dealer. Now when I go over a bump the belt hits the bolt on the belt guard. I took it back to the dealer and they tightened the belt. It still has the problem. BTW...the dealer is no longer there, they were bought out. Is there a way I can raise the bike without having to take it to a dealer? Any suggestions?? The bike was lowered 2 1/4 in from what the dealer said. Thanks for your help and guidance.I have the original parts. I am trying to find the mechs who worked on it. I believe they changed something on the shock. I did not ask them to lower it any particular height. They just told me the lowering "kit" lowered it 2 1/4 in. Thanks for the answers and I won't ask how you found that out ! :-)Thanks to you both for your answers. I went home and I have all the original parts. They did replace the shock and two pieces directly underneath the bike that almost looks like a bomerang, not quite as curved. There is a long black "bar" with several holes for mounting. Shock?? and then a piece that looks like factory with black pipe or tube. That piece is sawed off. Do you think I can just adjust the shock that's on there now to raise it up?? I know probably not that easy.

See if you can find out how they lowered it. If they changed the link on the rear shock you may have to replace it with one that is longer/shorter than the one they changed to give you a ride height that will keep your belt from hitting. You may be able to shim the top of the shock depending on how it is mounted.
