Dealer Bike

If you buy a used bike from a dealer, do you get like a week or a certain amount of km until you can return it? For example when you buy a car you usually have a week or 500km until u can return it and get your full refund.

All sales, car or bike, are final unless they specifically give you the right to return the vehicle within a specific period of time.

Well, I bought an eclipse last year and they gave me a week or 500km, and the car before that was similar can't remember how much they gave me...but my point is I've never been told that it's final sale on the cars I bought so I figured it would be the same for bikes. i guess i was just lucky with cars then...the reason I want to know this is because I want to buy a cbr600 and the guy wouldn't allow me to test drive it.. [ I took my m2 road test and passed but I can't get my license until august 8 (must have m1 for 60 days)...] so now I'm debating whether I should just buy the bike without test driving it and hopefully they will give me a week to return it if there's any problems.

Some places will do give you a 7-day or 30-day or whatever satisfaction guarantee on a vehicle, but they are not required to do so by law. Unless your sales contract specifically says you can return the thing (for whatever reason), the sale is final the moment you take delivery of the vehicle.

Same goes with stores selling anything at all. People are used to being able to bring back something, whether for reasons of defect or they just plain changed their minds. Stores do NOT have to take merchandise back unless they want to, and even then they can set the terms (time limits, restocking fees, etc) by which they accept returns. Even if a product is defective, the store can simply point you to the manufacturer to deal with the defective merchandise.

CWE Sales!!! street rep is low. keep going
just bring a freind who know's alot about bikes and check the condition of the bike EG. tires, sprockets, body work, and don't forget to check the steering stops on the steering steem. those are the best indication on the bikes condition..

oh ya don't forget to check on the history of the dealers track record. word of mouth is the best.

you should go to www.gtamotorcycle.com and post this question there. there are some hardcore bikers on that site that are very helpful.
