I've been riding for like 5 days now, and I can't get off to a smooth start. I either stall out, or ****** off all jerky and stuff. Abrubt starts. How do I get a smooth looking, and feeling start off. Please explain in extreme detail, I graduated from Cleveland public!!!The bike is a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 650r, approximately 347lbs.

this will take some time to get right but heres some tips,release clutch slowly till you feel it Begin to engage, throttle up while slowly releasing the clutch. put your feet on the pegs as soon as the bike begins to move!!!shifting is smoothest if you have more rpm's don't short shift, wait till your bike gets in a relaxed rpm range.also since your a newbie practice counter steermost people think you steer a bike by leaning, this is false, get your bike up to 30+ mph and slightly tweak the steering bars to the left, the bike will go right and vise versesimple way to remember is push on the bar on the side you want to turn to, this will move the bar automatically in the opposite direction.

You should not practice riding untill you practice taking off . Get somewhere out of the way of other people on your bike (like a empty parking lot) and try finding the "friction zone" where the bike responds to you releasing the clutch lever yet the wheels do not actually move more than an inch or two. Once you get that , Then graduate to picking up your feet once the bike moves. But the best advice I can give is take a rider education course. Best thing I ever did for riding skills.
