...arms are not long enough. I am just learning about motorcycles and need some information about reaching far enough to ride a bike safely. I know its probably a stupid question to everyday bikers. But I just thought I would ask. My arms are 28" long shoulder to fingertips. Can someone please help me without a smart remark? Thank you!!

I'm about 5'9" and I had a bike for years and I really never had a problem with reach.

The only time you would steer a motorcycle sharply is when moving it in a tight space. While riding, you never turn the handlebars sharply. You only turn very light and lean your body.

You won't have any problems. Remember riding a bicycle? You don't turn the bars much except in low speed turns. Most of your maneuvering is a mix of turning the front wheel and leaning.

posture is everything. depends a lot on the type of bike you ride and how sharp IT can turn. Sportbikes differ greatly from cruisers and differ again from off-road style. And spend some money and take a good riding course.
