legal rights/ownership to a...
...motorcycle? so i let my friend put his motorcycle in my garage about 8 months ago because he was moving to arizona (from colorado) and couldn't drive it out there. he won't call me, won't answer my phone calls and has been ignoring me for the past 3 months, was telling me before that he would come and get it, he promised blah blah blah. so anyways, i'm wondering who would have the legal ownership of this motorcycle since it has been basically abandoned on my property for so long? i don't have the keys and was never there when he got the bike, but it's been on my property for so long that i feel like it is mine basically. so, what should i do? whose bike is this now?

Go to your local court house and ask for paperwork to place a lien on this property. You will have to send him a registered letter and then go talk to a judge. In most states this takes about 30-45 days. There may be some other factors but the courthouse should be your first stop.

Go here and scroll down to part 21 which deals with vehicles abandoned on private property: http://www2.michie.com/colorado/lpex...ced&2.0#LPHit1
