well, I just went for my m1 a few days ago and it wasn't hard at all...you have to do a written g1 test along with the m1 test. I didn't even prepare for the g1 test because I found out I had to write it when I arrived to write the test and still passed...just read the book, take notes of like the amount of seconds you should be from the car in front, from railroad, and just mainly know the information with numbers if you get what I mean.

here's a few questions they asked me...Every question had 4 choices...

When a car is following too closely, what should you do? Answer: Switch lanes to allow the car to pass.

When you pull over to the side of the road on the highway and need help, what do you do? Answer: Place helmet on the side of the road....

If your front tire blows, what should you do? Answer: Shift your weight back and ease off the throttle...
If your rear tire blows, what should you do?
Answer: Ease off throttle and pull over when it is safe to do so. (in this question they have an answer that says shift your weight forward and ofcourse that's wrong, you don't shift your weight at all when your rear tire blows.)

You're caught in a wobble, what do you do? I forgot what the exact answer to this was but i know for sure it's not fight the wobble. The right answer is the longest sentence. They say something like ease off throttle, pull in clutch and pull over when safe....

When the engine freezes, what should you do? Answer: Ease off throttle, press "choke or kill switch" and coast off to the side when it is safe to do so. this isn't the exact answer but I know they used choke or kill switch as an answer to this question...

If approaching a bump in the road, what should you do? Answer: Raise feet slightly off the footrests.

That's all I could remember...hope it helps, good luck.

If you are just learning to ride, take a course. I took one at Lambton College in Sarnia. Only problem, I showed up to do the course, riding a restored 1975 Kawasaki H1 500. The instructor talked to me for almost an hour about the bike. BEFORE the course started.
