Motorbike Maintenance?

I bought a kawasaki er5 a week ago and the front forks are stained with......... something. I was told by the dealer that paint stripper would clean them right up. Is paint stripper good to use, and if not, what other strong substance can i use?

its probly a stain from the fork oil. petrol or other grease removers might work. id also get the seals checked as they might need replacing or the forks topped up if they low on oil

I would try Goo-off first. Paint stripper won't be a problem if you clean it off completely.
