2003 Nissan Sentra SER Spec-v
I was thinking of buying a 2003 nissan sentra ser spec-v. I have never owned one nor do I know anyone who has, I like the way it drives and its got some decent torque but I just though I would ask to see what other people though of the car?????

I would get a leakdown and even compression test done before I bought a Spec V with an earlier build date than 05.
If it's ok then first thing to do is put a header on it, tons of QR25DE motors have had their pre-cat break up and suck back into the motor.
Next take the upper part of the intake manifold off and loctite the screws on the butterfly valves as they were a selective recall but happened right up to 05, even 04 model years.
Other than the ecu recall there was also one for the crank angle sensor.
Good cars if you know what you're buying. My crankshaft was scored up at 10K miles even though I put a header on as soon as HotShot made it. Nissan gave me a new crankshaft though even with my car ripped apart in another country when I complained

i was wondering why the name Chillboy sounded familiar ... i seen your name in a few forums ... im on GTASentra.net
but yea ... words of advice if the car you buy does not already have a header on it GET IT ... stupid recall of the pre-cat was & is still an issue ... i got my XS Header on mine & along with a CAI & exhaust its a nice sounding beast ... it is somewhat powerful as opposed to a Honda obviously or well some of the later civics & such ... but yea ... ive had mine for about a year & a half now & no real complaints ... i was gonna do audio for the car ... ie: subs & amp ... indash & so on ... but trunk space is limited & well its useless overall if your happy with the R/F package it already has in the car like i am ... im finally realizing it & i waisted 700$ on subs & amp & now i cant even find a buyer for it not even for 500$... but yea ... car is a nice choice overall... i prefer the front of an '02 or '03 opposed to the '04+ just because i dont like the tooth!
