i hear conflicting stories about buying these things..beat to piss, falling apart and over priced...

im not sure id be comfortable with rhd . . but, they are hot

newbieracer 01-24-2006 09:09 PM

I have drivin rhd once before its hard to get used to and going left is a nerve wracking experiance (remember the first time your driving instructor took you on the highway, yeah like that)
but you get used to it and its fun to play games with other cars like having your passanger asleep on the window, and you have to import them from a reputable importer.

First thing im doing out of school is buying one

All true. ALLLL true. What do you think you should expect from a 15 year old 280hp twin-turbo sports car that's had 4 owners and "185,000 kms".

Why is it that everyone who buys a Skyline or GTR has it up for sale within the first 3 months after delivery? Just something to ponder.

This in my humble opinion is the sexiest looking Skyline. Just cause its got more of a flow and smooth design to it. But I have too heard about this being possibly the worst Skyline built? But never the less, still got the power and good looks. You might loose a few parts off the car while ur driving it. But hey, why not.

As for importing. What I would do is bring the car here, rebuild the motor, inspect the vehicle and make sure everything is where it should be and replace broken or worn parts with performance parts. AND THENNN put it on the road and keep it going from there.

Of course money is a large factor here. So keep that in mind. Have atlease double the value of the cost of the car and bringing it over here to spend on it once it is here.

Its a performace option, your car gets lighter as you go faster. Im suuure nissan designed it that way :smilie_da :appl:

It's actually 4 years, sorry.

1995 + 15 = 2010 - 2006 = 4.

And you have so much experience with imported vehicles right? :smilie_da

980hp is pure for bragging rights, this car for sure can't be used daily. An engine needs a rebuild every 25-50k, and rebuilding a monsterous engine like this isn't just like rebuilding a typical SR
