Anyone hear of a vehicle's cruise control engaging on its own while driving without

being able to disable it? 2008 Honda Pilot. Shut off engine, then re-started to see if cruise control would re-set, but instead upon re-starting, engine raced and could not be moved out of Park gear!

Throttle position sensor, does exactly what the name implies, when it goes batty your throttle's position goes batty with it, so your engine revs even if your foot is off the gas.































Not 100% sure on that but it is a good bet. It is not something you should monkey with yourself unless you are pretty sure you know what you're doing. If you have to ask where it is, I would recommend you take it in.
