It's a nice, reliable, subcompact wagon. The cool thing is the folding rear seats that let you put bikes and other tall cargo where the back seats used to be. It was the top pick in Consumer Report's subcompact comparo. It's relatively fuel efficient (although not as much as the Civic). One hitch is the availability. They're aren't that many of them so many dealers often don't even have one in stock that you can test drive. People have been ordering them and essentially buying them blind. There's no doubt it's nice to have a wagon to carry large/bulky items. If you don't have this need, or aren't horribly attached to the Fit, you might consider the Civic instead. It has better fuel economy, more passenger space, and better availability.

I agree with "Just Me." JUNK. Don't waste your money on wannabe cars. Buy any other japanese car but Honda or Suzuki.

Well, I bought a 2007 sport automatic. It's nicely appointed and looks so much more expensive interior wise that the other small models. Exterior, be sure you look your car over in the shade so that you can check for scratches or whirls (so shiny you can't see them in the sun) The front end is invisible when you are driving or parking and the sport addition to the front is so low you will hit every curb or concrete parking thingie. I have hit it going slowly over speed bumps. My mileage sucks. . .I average 26 mpg, driving properly with fuel consumption uppermost on my mind. I took into the dealer and they did not do a fuel consumption test but told me to come back in 5000 miles. I emailed Honda and they told me the A/C would really reduce the mileage drastically. I expected a little lie but this really p*sses me off. I had asked the salesman if you could get a luggage rack and the answer was no. I didn't ask about towing but alluded to it. The book specifies that the car will carry only 850 pounds. . .total. I assume that includes the spare and anyone I want to carry in the five seats. The interior seats are really useful because of the way they fold but the material used collects every little thing that comes along and will not even clean with a sticky roller. I did find out a damp cloth works pretty good. The engine will zip right along and have found myself at 80(flat) easily but don't think if you will romp it you will pass a car going 50 easily. Oh yea, the reason you have so much room in the interior is that you are sitting on the gas tank. I bought a Honda from reputation and the car looks good. Safety factors were big on my list with all the air bags. However, if you sit a big purse on the seat next to you or have a seat reclined in a different position, the side bags turn off. If you don't click your belt within so many seconds the air bags all turn off. To be fair, I've complained here and everyone I've talked to gets 32 mpg or better average. Pricewise it is as expensive as any other car in its category that has all the safety features. I wouldn't want a small car without the side steel, curtain and side air bags, the stability thing (I almost turned a Yaris over in a soso U turn), and good brakes. Oh and the more expensive radio. I haven't been happy with the speakers in a car since my Lincoln. Now you want to talk lemon. . .The speakers were the only things that didn't break down. . .If you have any other question or if I can be helpful in any way, please feel free to email me and I will tell you the truth about my FIT. I owe it to Honda. . .
