Their customer service is .

I emailed a guy at gemballa about sending me a pic of the rims for the 944.

First e-mail, no reply..so i decide to send another one after a week..

Second e-mail..i get a response like 3 days later, sketchy reply, no writing, nothing..just an attached image of a Rim, and a little bit of what appears to be a 944 that it's mounted on..
So what?

Gemballa is a small shop in a fairly small town/city... I always wanted to stop at their shop when I saw the sign. But besides that the Germans in the Black Forest are somewhat strange

Then you have people that are emailing from across the world about rims for a 944... lol... Serious people don't email... They phone and talk to them direct, make sure they know that who they're talking to has money.

You people have no real experience with Gemballa, and only go by hear-say on the net, but go around blabbing @ Gemballa's shitty CS. OK

Yea, I do own a Porsche, am I allowed to comment now? I am not commenting on their customer service, just the fact that two of their 250k cars set on fire because they failed to tighten down some oil lines (I believe). If you don't believe me, I am sure the owner is still on 6speedonline.com . But you guys are right, when I am paying a 1/4 million for a car, who cares if it sets on fire because the guys working on it are a bunch of yoyo's.

You can say I am going off hearsay, however I am going off the pictures of a brand new TT burnt to a chrisp.

Still want Gemballa to touch your GT?

^^^ It's call human error man... No one is perfect... It is unfortunate, but it CAN happen. I'm sure make all kinds of mistakes every day. Gemballa has be around for AGES... and it's not like you hear about their cars blwoing up or cathing fire on every street corner.

You say it set on fire because they failed to tighten down oil line.. but you are not sure... so before you go give/ bad things about a company, at least know for sure what happend.

and honesty, just beacuse you "own" a Porsche doesn't allow or disallow you do comment, but unless you've been to Gemballa and delt with the people there or own one of their cars, how can you even comment on their CS?

As for email service, i've delt with both TRG (racers and winners of the daytona 24hrs, sebring and numerous other enduro racers) and 9ff in Germany via email and their level of service was exemplary. neither had problems responding to email and TRG's parts guys kept me informed as to the status of my parts from moulding, shipping, tracking # etc. 9ff was even so kind as to email me a complete catalogue and price list of their parts. Neither of them are giant shops and both have many clients from around the world.
Gemballa on the other hand, never replied to me and after i believe it was my second attempt at contacting them, i recieved what can be described at best as a curt response.
Gemballa has developped a reputation for extracting big # from the engines they tune, but customer service is also a big part of the game. How long are you willing to wait to for a reply until you decide to goto someone else, or how long are you going to wait before you want a refund after not hearing back from the company without confirmation of your stuff being ordered, or the status of you're car's build.

but i digress, there is always 2 sides to the story and i'm sure there are many ppl out there who have had very good experiences dealing with Gemb.

^^^ this is true.... Plus I'm sure Gemballa wouldn't be around still, with that much competition out there.

shouldn't happen on a car that costs $300000US. You have to be kidding me, yes people make mistakes, but a $300000 mistake is pretty ing big. And what bad things am I ing? Its their own fault that a car they built set on fire, does it matter if it was due to a fuel line, or an oil line? And I was commenting about owning a Porsche because of what "ricernoob" stated. And why the hell do you keep saying "how can you even comment on their CS?", did I? No, I commented that two of their $300000 cars set on fire, and it shouldn't ing happen. Now if I offended you because you are a shareholder in the company, and I am going to bring it down with this post, I apologize.

*Edit*
No matter what you say, I would never send my car there. Nor would I send a Carrera GT there. Its personal preference, and we can agree to disagree on this one.

Zlatko has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Gemballa makes good stuff, i wont deny, good quality merchanidse, but their customer service does suck.

Stop defending them sascha, i called them about a bodykit i saw once, the guy that answered the phone sounded like he didnt even know where he worked.

"Hello?"
"uhh..hi,is this gemballa?"
"Ya.."
"hi, i need to ask about a bodykit for a 944"
"uhh..alright, hold on, i gotta get greg"
*phone down for like 2 mins*
"Ya man, he isnt here. Call back in an hour"
*click*

And about that 911 that burned to the ground, yes i saw that as well...great going ********.
