I was just wondering what your opinions are on round vs oval speakers, like a 5" round vs a 4X6 for example. Is their a big difference in sound quality on a pair of similar priced and quality speakers or is it just peoples prefrence. Thanks for the imput.

well if we are talking about which is the best sq round is definitely better. You dont see much 6x9 competing in sq cars because they run 6 1/2 or 7 inch round components and the surround is more uniform on excursion.

oval speakers like 5x7 6x8 and 6x9 simply offer more cone area
therefore more bass...however if you want sq this will eat out the high clarity
