i remember a couple of years back on the 404 north, I was sitting at a dead stop beside a transport. All I hear is tires squealing, and then BANG. Some dude rear ended the transport doing like 80kph. we had been sitting there for at least 2-3 minutes. Absolutely not moving. IDIOTS

the reason everyone gets a license is $$$$$
hospitals, body shops, driving schools, mechanics, paint manufacturers, ins adjusters/agents, tow trucks, etc... all make $$$ when an accident happens
then theres everyone else who makes $$$$ from non accidents, like gas stations, tire shops, lubricant manufacturers, etc... to keep the car on the road.
Gov thinks more cars = more ppl working = more $$$ = more taxes

This thread could go on forever. Just this past week on the DVP there was a black rasscloth stratus driven by a black rasscloth clown who felt that since it was busy and people weren't going faster than 60 it was ok to NOT signal ANY lane change
So I got pissed at this monkey(no pun intended) and I drove right up under him and he felt I was racing even though I friggn kept showing him to signal. I eventually got infront of this jezebel and right when he'd try to come up behind me I dropped 2 gears and the cars just hollers down in speed and I could see him panic a bit and I did it over and over to this clown. He exited Eglinton and not once would he look over but I hope he heard me screaming that he's a F&$^in retard! Seriously I think there should be insurance coverage for purposely smashing into these ******** with eyewitness reports.
Lo and behold...same drive home I'm now on the 401 out East and another F***head seems to think signalling is not a necessity. So obviously in normal fashion I harass the out of him and both of these ******** knew what they were doing. Of course he didn't look over as I yelled at him him either.
Wayyyyyyy too many stupid people driving out there. On a side note...the cops should crack down wayyy harder on people on cell phones that don't pay attention on the road and other people have to compensate for their bullshit than "street racers". Yep i saw the same thing a while back, coming home from work about 10pm on a sunday night, 401 east was fairly busy, 2 ****ing morons flying up the highway, dont think they were racing but they were both doing about 200kmh atleast... Ive honestly never seen someone driving this fast on the highwy before. I was doing about 120 in the middle lane, all of a sudden i see the bright flash of HID's in my mirror, then woosh, passed on the left by a mazda speed3, then immediately on the right by a honda civic sedan... didnt even see the civic. Anyway, the mazdas still flying, but hes coming up FAST on a volkswagon doing about 110 in the fast lane.... Guess he didnt see it or was hoping the guy would slide over, but he didnt, the mazda slams on his brakes at the last second, pulls hard into the shoulder, almost hits the guard rail and then ACCELERATES past the VW on the shoulder... the entire time i was thinking "Youve got to be ****ing kidding me..."
Honestly i understand going fast, hell, ive gone fast before too, but NEVER EVER EVER when theres other people on the road. Im not ashamed to admit i called the cops on those idiots, but the cops didnt care... The operator asked me "Were they racing, or just driving fast", and as soon as i said "I dont think they were racing" she said "Oh, well, ill see if theres an officer in the area, thanks anyway".
I just think its stupid... i mean, you want to risk your life, thats fine, but honestly other people on the road dont need to die or have to pay for property damage just becuase youre a ****ing moron who cant drive. I wish cops would crack down on these idiots, or the stupid women driving their monster truck sized SUV's who almost plow into me on the highway in the morning because theyre too busy eating a donut and talking on their phone to be bothered paying attention to who is around them... Or these morons who drive down the middle of the highway doing ****ing 50 KM/H losing half the load they strapped to their roof with one peice of string. Forget about street racing, get rid of these idiots first.
