looks a million times better with them painted, and the auto has a better track record for reliability (the t56 is an abhorred piece of garbage as far as a "performance" trans goes average life of about 80k miles according to most salvage yards)

You're right, it does look between with them painted... painted BLACK. If you want it painted body colour, go buy a Firechicken.

And as far as reliability is concerned, who the hell buys a sports car for reliability? I'd go T56 any day, and if you take care of it, it'll do just fine. A friend of mine was running 13.4 with nittos in the 1/4 mile with his T/A... and it had over 100,000 MILES on it.

I wouldn't be consulting a salvage yard on the longevity of parts... cause y'know... they DEAL in scrap. I'd be consulting the guys who have beat these cars into the ground and are still on their first tranny. There are a fair number of them.

when you sell a few of them and they come back you learn the longevity, the black looks unfinished (aka ricerish and sucks *****) why have the top of your car be a completely different color than the rest? 2 tones separate at body lines so that doesn't work (whoever the moron that came up with that at gm should have been flogged) notice it's only on the 4th gens (which murdered the line with lack of sales

I personally dont like black tops either. It reminds me of those ****** honda elements. Plus the black mirrors loook WAAAAAAAAAY the hell out of place. Why make just the mirrors black? rediculous.
