Lightbulb insurance company help!?

i have my G2. i wanna buy a car like right now (civic), but put the car under my dads name to save some money. however, my dad already has a car, and its just me and my dad who have licenses in our house. so, if my dad tries to put me as secondary under just the civic and not his car, i'll prolly end up being primary cause i dont think the insurance companies will allow that... anyone know of any good companies that give decent rates? please pm me or post here! btw, im 17.

Especially for a civic I've got a bad driving record and on a 89 civic H/B Cooperators wanted 600/mo for basic coverage 2 years ago.

try TRG or Coachman insurance, not too sure on the phone #'s but u should be able to look them up. also, maybe try an insurance broker to find you a cheap rate, its their job to find you the lowest. ive got 3 tickets for street racing and a licence suspension under my belt, and im only on $385/ mth with coachman insurance. plus im only 19! but everyones right, youll prettymuch be payin out of your *** for the first couple years.
-Good luck.

^^Two Cars, Two Drivers = One Driver assigned per vehicle, for the driver part of it he's screwed but can still have the car in dad's name so the dad can use his ins. policy.

Why hate it, the premiums are charged to cover the losses of a few!? What happens when someone rear ends you and your car is a total write off, you won't cry to the ins. company?

Imagine the injured based their claims on those losses of the few who never got paid by the "best payout is not payout" theory of insurance companies. That would be fair wouldn’t it then?

You ask what if he gets rear ended. what if he’s injured? the car. What if he starts applying for SABS and this insurance company he’s been paying $4000+ a year to starts denying him, because well, frankly they don’t like to pay out. They may start by saying his Honda was too low and the brake lights weren’t viewable to the oncoming driver, DENIED. Good luck battling these suckers.
They’re in the nature of TAKING your money, and not paying out.

Its no secret beaner that the insurance companies ethics are complete and udder bullshit. I mean, the media has been covering it for ages, the people know. The people you work for have no conscience nor do they care if they put people out of house/home and or ruin their lives.
I have a friend who’s worked as a PI for years at statefarm who straight up tells me its in their interest to find ALL people faking. That they feel bad when they know a person who is genuinely hurt is getting denied.

My advise, find the cheapest rate, cheapest coverage. Either way all insurance co's suck. Don’t expect any special treatment at one or the other. Your goal should be rates.
Consider a 5L over a Honda. When a family member who was 17 got quoted on a 93 LX mustang vs a 93 Civic si, the si was substantially more.

No insurance agent has any credibility if you ask me. Its a complete racket and this goverment needs to take control of this private sector.

By the way, ive paid $74-101 over last 5 years for a car inspected and quoted with a blower and all. Go figure. And for some reason i bet when it gets stolen those *********** will either 1 offer so low or 2 not payout at all.
Screw insurance companies and their reps. It may be a job, but theres no honor in it, thats for sure.
