What street Tire are you using ?

I'm interested in what other people have used for the street, ex how grippy were they..did it live up to the treadwear rating etc..

i'll start it off.
I had kumho 712's 205/50/15 they were really grippy for the first 7000k, at the track i managed to pull off 2.3 60ft.. for straight line racing they were decent ... but when i brought them to shannonville they felt like crap .. the side walls were really soft and didn't inspire much confidence in the turns. The treadwear rating? well i pretty much threw that out the window because of all the racing/launches, i only got 30k out of them.
all in all i believe i paid for what i got.

I got a 2.1 second 60' on my 185/60R14 Falken Ziex 512's. Oddly enough, the bald Firestone Firehawk tires that came on my Miata wheels (I think they were OEM) gripped way better through the turns.

WoW, thats a pretty good 60ft you got there ... especially with those allseason falkens.. you must either know your car damn well or those tires are amazing for the strip

So the ziex 512 has a pretty shitty sidewall too ?

i'm torn on what to get for new tires and was wondering if anyone has used these :

Falken Fk451's
Yokohama prada spec 2's
kumho mx's
i'd love to get toyo t1's but their way outta my price range.

P Zero Rosso's 355/25/19 and 285/30/19. Also running Michelin PS2's in 255/35/19, and 285/30/19. Then the hoosiers that are coming, same widths as the PZero's, just in 18's.

Right now I got 195/60/14 Michelin X-One's all around, rears have plenty of tread but the fronts getting low.
They'll be replaced with Michelin MXV4 195/65/15's on different rims for the summer.

Before next winter, I'll get a pair of new 195/60/15's or 205/55/15's on the back and put the good pair of X-One's on the front.
