do all honda's between 1990 and 1996 take engine oil in the clutch box?

I just bought a 1990 honda accord and the clutch fluid is empty. the problem is that the engine was changed out so i dont know whether or not i should use the recommended clutch fluid for the 1990 accord because the engine is different. I called the previous owner and he told me it was the same year and model engine as of the car. Sadly, thats not true. i already found out it's not the same engine. but i do know it is a honda engine, and all i need to know is which years take engine oil in the clutch and which ones take transmission fluid. and i can use that to help me figure it out........ oh yeah, the fluid box was empty, thats why i cant figure out what kind of fluid it is.
