Would you buy a used motorcycle with no title...

...in CO? I was thinking of buying a used (20 year old) motorcycle in CO. Of course its cheap and it runs well and is in pretty good shape. How hard, or easy is it to get a title for one that's been lost. I've seen people say its easy, but is it reallY or is it a lot of hassle?

Call the DMV with the VIN and ask them.

It's easier for the person who lost the title to request a new title be created. The DMV will typically do a title search, (if they still have records from that era) and issue a new title to the original owner. Then they can give you the replacement title when they sell it to you. It typically doesn't cost much, but easier if the original owner does it.
