1985 Berlinetta Camaro

I'm in the process of buying a 1985 Berlinetta and need some input on what I should pay.

The car is in excellent shape, never been wrecked, motor, shocks, transmision all in great shape ... etc, has the 305 and T-top.

What's this thing worth and will it go up in value over the next five years or so?

doubt it will go up in value, not old enough for about 10 to 15 years (second gens are just starting to go up)berlinetta was the loaded luxury version low performance (was marketed to women) 305 has alife expectancy around 100,000 miles if everything works and is clean around $1500 is what I see them around

if its in great shape and everything works like new, i think it would be worth maby $2500 depending on paint and rust..

3rd gens aren't worth that much, especially the berlinetta, you can get a late 3rd gen for around that

hey, thanks. i'm still in that weird "negotiation" thing.

only thing that i think about is, this car is the best i've seen for this model

but, the input i've got here, means it is still too high.

doggone nice car though. i didn't think anyone took care of them this way.

best advice I can give when looking is look at every newspaper, and even the auto traders (auto trader tends to draw higher priced cars in my experience though)also watch ebay I've seen a few third gens in decent shape go for under a grand
