Any Dsm Meets?
 

Just wondering if there is any dsm meets held(besides the one at yorkdale mall once a month)? Spent copious amount of money on this car; and nowhere to hang out. And yes I'm a newbie- so excuse me for asking.

I can't say that I know of any.

The 'Missy Meets' are held every thursday through-out the summer.
If you are on the DSM Canada board you'll see posts made about them

Ya, just check the DSM Canada board regularly. There always seems to be a few guys who want to do a meet.

Actually, if you check now there is an announcement about a Mitsubishi Super Meet this summer.

the "missy meets" aren't they held in kitchener. To far. anything in the gta, scarborough area.

they are in mississauga...hence "missy"

I don't know about meets, but once it warms up a few of my friends and myself, all with DSMs, will be doing a lot of cruising around. All cars 12.5 or faster, so if you think you can keep up :cheeky4: give me a PM and i'll give you a shout once things warm up.

i live 2 minutes away from the missy meets (britannia and mavis)

^ dsmonster, i think youre being a little bit humble, with what you have, i think around 11's or faster :))

Not sure who you are(I think I have an idea now, I do know, I do know, hehe), or what you've heard, but I shouldn't have a problem with 11's on pump :smokin:. I'm afriad I won't be able to find out what the car really does until I get a cage put in. Your supposed to have a roll cage if you run faster then 11.5. So I may not even get the chance to run race gas with some real boost(30+psi).

Get the cage. Just tint the windows. I drive with one. Its not that noticed; as much as a loud exhaust or having the front license plate off.

Hmmm, I just might do it. About how much did it cost you? Theres a vendor in the states right now that has an 8-point cage for $199us. But I'm worried about bringing it into the country and paying too much for duties/taxes/shipping.

marco(magnus); at the time refered me to someone. I paided $1000.00 for a chromoly 6- point. I don't remember where their at now.

YES. The mechanic has just informed me that my car is running again. Can't wait to get the car back. I'll give the upcoming season another shot; After losing all the oil down the track last summer.
Just got to learn that one two punch. hoping for better numbers this year.

I was at Bluffers last Saturday! Didn't really work out cuz it was so cold and we had no BBQ!! lol There's gonna be a meet at Yorkdale this Sunday tho. I think it starts around noon outside Sears. There's a whole bunch of us riding down together starting up in Oshawa and a few pickups along the way.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if we're making any stops in Scarborough. All I know is that there's a bunch of us meeting up in Oshawa to head down. We're leaving here at 12 noon so maybe you'll run into us on the highway. Sorry :dunno:

great turnout, one of the biggest ones ive been in.

By far- the best meet I've ever attended; 25+ cars; doesn't get better than that. Nice meeting all those I did.
We should get more meets and possible cruises happen, a timmies etc.

I think it was more like a 4" pipe, but your thinking of the right guy :smilie_da . I have the same compressor wheel as him, but I'm upto 24psi :la: . Talonc's car was my favorite car at the meet, but I'll still spank him :lol_hitti
