chad, guy at work told me it cost 1200 to rent out Joliet speedway for 6 hours so.... just a thought, sounds better than 50,000 or w/e the **** that one guysaid.

Yeah but that's still in Chicago. I want to get something outside of Chicago.
All the GTG's and speed shop open houses are in that area, I'm really looking for something so some WI people can actually show up.

I just got a reply to the email I sent to a local place that has a HUGE parking lot saying they would love to talk to me about renting out their parking lot. I know they've done it in the past because my brother's gone to autocross events held in their parking lot in the past. So a car show would be even better for them.

Once everything's in place and I have a place reserved I'm going to contact all the speed shops in the area and see if they'll be willing to donate gift certificates or parts as part of a raffle.
I really want to make this a big event and if it's a success I'm going to turn it into an annual event. Like the CSF of this area but instead of just Camaro's it'll be F and Ybodies.

I appreciate it. I'm going to make sure this isn't just something where only twenty people or so show up. It looks like I will be spending a lot of time working on this and unfortunitly a good amount of money will probably be spent as well. But if it becomes a success it'll all be worth it.

chad that is an awesome idea!!! if there was interest and it was an option, an autox deal going on with carshow and all that would really be fricken sweet. i want to autox but theres nothing really around here, at least not on a regular basis that i know of.

I appreciate that because I will have a couple large banner's made before hand and hang them up around the show. Hoping it helps get our name out.

The more I think about it the bigger I want to make the show. So I'm thinking the middle of July would really work best now. There's not a lot going on, everyone will be out of school and there's no holiday's in the middle of the month to worry about.

Would you have it be a 1, 2, or 3 day event. and would it be on a weekend? Also would your faggetry Panera bread let you off for a day haha.

I'm thinking we start off with a one day event and then if we can get enough people to show up let it grow into something larger. At that point I'll start contacting all the local hotels and see if they'd be willing to set something up so people can get rooms cheaper.
Yes it would be on a weekend. The first show at least will be on a Saturday.

Don't worry about Panera, I have already talked to my higher ups about me getting off for a large car show I'm starting up. Plus as soon as we have the dates finallized I will put in for some vacation time. (I already have my vacation time put in for CSF )
