Ideas for meets
What do you all normally do for meets?
I used to run an all-marque car club in Scotland, and we used to arrange all sorts of stuff, but generally there was always a Barby, lol. People need to eat, and it was a great way to get donations.
Things we used to do:
Private track days - Sprint tracks (with barby) and Large track (BTCC size)
Rolling road days - we would hire a shop with a roalling road and everyone would get their HP etc (with barby)
Treasure hunts - driving about the countryside looking for clues to the next way-point (ended with a barby, lol)
Club stands at shows - (if outside show.... barby)
Weigh-in - yes, we hired a way-bridge once to weigh our cars
Private/invite race-wars event - we had a curcuit, quarter mile and oval (for drifting, with sponsors donating prizes.
Club runs - didn't do too many of these and some drivers were just nutters.
Technical days - whoever had space would invite members round to work on their cars once a month, with barby of course
Club member tools for loan list - very handy if you need a piston compressor and the shops are shut.
Car swap track day - members would allow other members a shot of their car to see if they fancy buying one. Not all members allowed this, lol.
So these were some of the things we got up to.
Would be great to do some of that when I get to Canada
