Hey everyone this is everyone’s favorite local parts guru Jared here to finally do what someone should have done a long time ago! In this thread you can find directions, times, information, a map, and a description of every F-Body related weekly GTG in the area. This thread will also have yearly f-body gtg's listed, with a link to the GTG's website where applicable.
Im doing this to help YOU. I value all of you as members of the f-body community and I think that I can do something to help us all see in a very easy format what is going on during the week. I hope this helps you guys out!

Summary: This is one of the oldest GTG’s in the area. For several years now, local f-body owners and friends have been meeting on Tuesday nights to enjoy dinner and conversation with each other. Get your car to the home depot parking lot by 8pm. At 8 someone will announce roll out, and the entire pack will enjoy a short cruise to wherever someone has made reservations for that week. The cruise can last from 5 to 15 minutes. Then everyone enjoys dinner together. This is a very laid back get together, but anyone is welcome to come just as long as they are not a complete idiot. You can expect anywhere from 5-30 cars to be here depending on the weather and the time of year.

Summary: This new get together has become a hotspot for enthusiasts in the eastern part of the Metroplex. The meet is in the parking lot of the walmart super center. Local police are aware of the GTG and come to make sure that the crowds don’t get out of hand. Nearby you can find several fast food restaurants including a steak n’ shake, wendys, whataburger and sonic. This is a park and chill GTG, just to hangout and meet other people while admiring other peoples rides. Also, the George Bush Turnpike is very close by, and im sure than many people find a use for its wide smooth pavement. Expect 100+ cars at this GTG from turbo vipers to 600hp corvettes. Ricer activity is at a minimum here.

Summary: This is the old DFW mustang weekly get together. More recently f-bodies can be found here, giving mustangs a run for their money. There is normally 20% f-bodies. Some of the areas fastest mustangs make a stop into this weekly GTG, and you can find them with their friends crowded into sonic booths. On a warm night the edges of the restaurant will fill up, and people will even park on the sides of the road. It’s a fun and safe place to chill out and see some badass cars. But watch out when you leave the property, police lurk everywhere, and fox body drivers seem to be especially aggressive to initiate a race. Expect 20-50+ cars.

Summary: Well, it's that time of year again, time to dust off the cars, hook up with some good friends and enjoy the evening spring and summer weather we are so fortunate to have here! Come join in the fun at Snuffers in Plano off Park and Preston. Gathering will start at 7 or so in the parking lot just north of the restaurant. We'll head in and eat as everyone gets hungry or the bulk of the crowd shows up. Hope to see everyone there this Wednesday night, and hope this new spot really makes a great tradition even better! Post Up if You’re coming’!

Summary: East DFW f-body owners and their friends will meet up at Pappas Pizza for pizza and cheap beer! Many people can be found at this GTG, many not having anything to do with f-bodies at all. But this event is based around friends and fun, not so much the cars. Still, you will be in good company with all the people off the local boards. Get ready for some drunk stories..

Summary: On Thursday nights you can find a ridiculous amount of street bike riders at this sonic. Sometimes in the HUNDREDS, this is a spectacle that you would never see at any place other than a bike show. After a while, the “pack” will roll out at one time, stopping traffic wherever they go. The pack is so large they literally block off the highway, making a much less hazardous environment for local stunters to practice their moves. You can find a place in the pack to watch the show. Your f-body is respected by most bikers (its what they drive when they’re off the bike), and as long as you don’t drive like a jerk, your welcome to cruise with them. Expect 100+ bikes.

Summary: Prepare for a nice cruise and some dinner with your f-body buds. Meet up at the parking lot in best but around 7, no later than 7:30. Once everyone is there, someone will say lets go, and the cruise will begin. The cruise of course is to the restaurant where someone has called ahead and made some reservations for the group. Expect to be here till at least 10pm. This is a great way to meet some members from the west side of the Metroplex and relax.

Summary: Come on out to Sammy Walkers from some incredible BBQ and badass cars. Here you will find lots of old hot-rods, and many different types of cars. The cars begin getting there around 6pm, but many f-body owners don’t go until 8 or so. This is also a good chance to buy some Tropicare, look for Steve Pastor at these events in a RT-10 or a SRT-4. The event ends at 10, and if you still want some car action, check out the starbucks across the intersection, where a ricer GTG happens on the same night each week from about 9:00-12:00.
Friday
Friday night is the time to take your car to the track. Many local tracks are open on these nights to provide a legal place to get your racing fix. Cash prizes are available, and discount rates are in place for midnight racing at some locations.

Many GTG’s are held on this day, but they are not weekly. Check the upcoming events to see if there is anything going on in your area this Saturday. There are once monthly shows every weekend from now to October, so you can find one that near you, or just a short drive.
Sunday
Very large shows are normally held on this day. Gasoline Alley in particular likes to have very nice car shows on this day. Summary: This is the monthly NTTGA club meet. The club is especially for third generation f-body owners, but all f-body owners are welcome to come and join in the fun. Sometimes in the HUNDREDS, this is a spectacle that you would never see at any place other than a bike show. After a while, the “pack” will roll out at one time, stopping traffic wherever they go. The pack is so large they literally block off the highway, making a much less hazardous environment for local stunters to practice their moves. You can find a place in the pack to watch the show. Your f-body is respected by most bikers (its what they drive when they’re off the bike), and as long as you don’t drive like a jerk, your welcome to cruise with them. Expect 100+ bikes.

Summary: Prepare for a nice cruise and some dinner with your f-body buds. Meet up at the parking lot in best but around 7, no later than 7:30. Once everyone is there, someone will say lets go, and the cruise will begin. The cruise of course is to the restaurant where someone has called ahead and made some reservations for the group. Expect to be here till at least 10pm. This is a great way to meet some members from the west side of the Metroplex and relax.

Summary: Come on out to Sammy Walkers from some incredible BBQ and badass cars. Here you will find lots of old hot-rods, and many different types of cars. The cars begin getting there around 6pm, but many f-body owners don’t go until 8 or so. This is also a good chance to buy some Tropicare, look for Steve Pastor at these events in a RT-10 or a SRT-4. The event ends at 10, and if you still want some car action, check out the starbucks across the intersection, where a ricer GTG happens on the same night each week from about 9:00-12:00.
Friday
Friday night is the time to take your car to the track. Many local tracks are open on these nights to provide a legal place to get your racing fix. Cash prizes are available, and discount rates are in place for midnight racing at some locations.

Very large shows are normally held on this day. Gasoline Alley in particular likes to have very nice car shows on this day.
