Mini Spring Cruise 4/28
02hawk796 & I are going to do a scouting run this Saturday for the spring cruise. (Making sure all roads are open, and checking out a couple new sections to avoid stop lights and bumpy roads) Ron is getting the hawk out, and I'll have my Camaro. We're going to meet in Racine at the starting point of the cruise at 10am, and go from there. If anyone else is interested, you're welcome to come along, just let us know. See the route directions on the spring cruise website, if you don't know where the meeting point is:

Scouting the Cruise route can be exciting.
I have no idea how all these marks appeared here. Looking closely at the far right, there is a suspiciously located double puddle of water, approx axle width apart - not like a burnout box or anything.
Scouting the lunch stop:
The scouting run can be a bit more vigorous, rubbing off the outer half of the letter whiting of "Firehawk" on the tire sidewall. That whiting held up since May 2004, surviving 2 Spring Cruises, 2 Fall Cruises and 3 Fall scouting runs. This was the first SC scouting run for these tires.

That thing was cornering like you were on rails! That car makes it look easy too. No way I could keep up with that, especially since my tires are getting pretty low on tread and they slide out pretty easily.

You're probably increasing your appreciation for why I so enthusiastically enjoy the twisties and curves.
